How does it do this? 

LED light therapy uses red, blue or infrared light to target a selected area of the skin.

Red Light penetrates the deeper layers of the skin and is used to stimulate elastin and collagen. Red light also increases the formation of ATP in the mitochondria (powerhouse of cells), has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. 

 

Blue Light penetrates more superficial layers of the skin and is very effective at treating and improving acne. It does this via its bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties. It also has immunomodulatory and venoprotective effects while increasing the saturation of tissues with oxygen. 

 

Yellow Light can be used to improve wound healing, alleviate redness from inflammation, sunburn and rosacea. 

Ultimately LED therapy can be used effectively alone or in combination with other treatments to enhance results, aid healing, reduce redness and inflammation.
