LED Light Therapy

LED LIGHT THERAPY

Phototherapy can repair and sooth your skin providing a holistic healing experience.

While you relax under the LED lamp it will reduce acne, promote collagen, calm inflammation, balance your skin tone and invigorate a healthy glow.

This rejuvenating treatment can also reduce acne scar formation and promote wound healing.

How does it do this?

LED light therapy uses red, blue or infrared light to target a selected area of the skin.

When the light reaches the skin, it stimulates cellular ATP which the cells use as a source of energy.

These stimulated cells become better at healing, regenerate at a more rapid rate as well as produce more collagen and elastin.

The light is also able to stimulate the blood vessels beneath the skins surface. This improves nutrition and oxygenation of cells, circulation of blood and lymphatic drainage which removes accumulated waste products within the body.

What wavelength is best for me?

We adjust the phototherapy wavelengths to meet your needs.

Red Light penetrates the deeper layers of the skin and is used to stimulate elastin and collagen. It’s anti collagenase properties also prevent the breakdown of collagen, promoting smoother skin texture and improved elasticity. Red light also increases the formation of ATP in the mitochondria (powerhouse of cells), has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Blue Light penetrates more superficial layers of the skin and is very effective at treating and improving acne. It does this via its bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties. It also has immunomodulatory and venoprotective effects while increasing the saturation of tissues with oxygen.

Yellow Light can be used to improve wound healing, alleviate redness from inflammation, sunburn and rosacea.

Ultimately LED therapy can be used effectively alone or in combination with other treatments to enhance results, aid healing, reduce redness and inflammation.

LED therapy is gentle, does not irritate the skin and can be used after all treatments.
