Nd:Yag Laser

Neodymium Yag (Nd:Yag) laser is capable of targeting deeper layers of the skin compared with traditional modalities with a wavelength of 1064nm.

This laser works by emitting a wavelength of high energy light to targeted skin cells and is particularly effective at penetrating tissue pigment such as haemoglobin and melanin. Once these cells are heated a process referred to as photocoagulation occurs and they are destroyed. As a result, skin redness and discolouration is successfully reduced.
