Our recommended skin care routine for an enviable wedding glow

Preparing for a wedding can be difficult enough without the added pressure of wanting to wow the crowd with your appearance. We understand how important your wedding day will be to you and we would love to help you achieve a near flawless complexion to show off on your special day. We are also passionate about instilling you with confidence so you can take pleasure in being the centre of attention! We are certain the following skincare routine will leave your skin looking stunningly brighter, smoother and revitalised!

1. Use a Melanin Inhibitor to prep your skin prior to a laser treatment. This is usually used for 10 days prior to treatment.

Due to the variability of skin quality and sensitivity we would like to recommend the most suitable Melanin Inhibitor for you before you begin incorporating any new products into your skin routine. This is to prevent breakouts and unwanted reactions. The top three Melanin Inhibitors we offer are:

Simply Brilliant Serum from Cosmedix:

Simply Brilliant can successfully improve dull, discoloured and uneven skin tone. It does this by combining 10 skin-specific ingredients that can effectively combat hyperpigmented and photodamaged skin. This brilliant formula has the added advantage of preventing future sunlight-induced pigmentation. Using lactic and salicylic acids this serum can enhance skin homogeneity and help penetration of brightening ingredients. We are confident you will be left with a radiant glow!

Application:

Day and night: Apply a small amount of freshly cleansed and toned skin. Follow with additional recommended moisturiser and/or daily sunscreen.

P-Bright Serum from Fillmed:

P-Bright Serum reduces the appearance of dark spots and evens out skin tone. It contains phytic acid that helps both exfoliate the skin as well as inhibit melanin production. The Vitamin C component prevents pigmentation and brightens skin complexion. The Arabino-xyloses visibly reduce the look of dark spots while the papain carbomer is a mild enzymatic exfoliator with a unifying and radiance-enhancing effect.

Day and night: Apply a small amount of freshly cleansed and toned skin. Follow with additional recommended moisturiser and/or daily sunscreen.

Complete Pigment Serum from Aspect Dr:

Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus is suitable for all forms of pigmentation, melasma, photodamage and pigmentation.

It is composed of a cocktail of 5 key ingredients including lactic acid and niacinamide which help lighten pigmentation, age spots, melasma and freckles. It also helps prevent future pigmentation from developing and provides antioxidant protection. After using this product your skin will appear more hydrated and brighter undoubtedly giving you enhanced confidence to walk face first into your event!

2. We recommend two CO2 laser resurfacing treatments, four weeks apart.

The Fraxis Fractional CO2  laser uses micro laser beams through an accurately calibrated scanner hand piece to aid resurfacing of the superficial skin layers and regeneration of the deeper skin layers through optimised thermal temperatures. Each beam of light generated by the laser creates a micro pore in the skin. This stimulates the body’s natural repair mechanism and begins wound healing by filling the pores with new collagen. This new collagen production creates smoother skin, reduces wrinkles and visible pigmentation on the skins surface.

Following this regimen your skin will be appear revitalised and exude a beaming, radiant glow!

We recommend you say, ‘I do’!
