SKINPEN

SkinPen is a minimally invasive medical device effective for addressing a multitude of skin changes related to ageing.

This pen-like device is composed of a sterile, disposable cartridge tip which contains small micro-needles. During a treatment, the micro-needles are moved carefully over the skins surface causing tiny punctures and micro injuries which are invisible to the naked eye. These miniscule punctures stimulate the body’s own natural healing response. This involves tissue regeneration through a process called collagen induction therapy (CIT).

During CIT, aged and damaged collagen strands are broken, repaired and new collagen is produced. This encourages restoration and improvement in the overall structure and function of the skin. Ultimately both skin integrity and aesthetic appearance are enhanced and strengthened.

Using this mechanism, the SkinPen is able to combat skin concerns such as volume loss, wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars and melasma. Results can be seen after a single treatment and they are amplified over time and with multiple sessions.
